Counter Logic Gaming Expand Marketing Partnership with Newegg

Tech retailer Newegg expands its partnership with Counter Logic Gaming to include the esports organization’s League of Legends franchise.

North American esports organization Counter Logic Gaming announced the expansion of its partnership with Newegg. The agreement names the California-based tech e-retailer as the North America League of Legends Championship Series team’s official technology retail partner and the presenting partner. 

Newegg initially signed an agreement involving CLG’s Fortnite franchise in February of last year. The partnership expansion to CLG’s LoL franchise comes shortly before the 2020 LCS Spring Split, which begins on January 25. 

The expanded partnership will include premier brand integration for Newegg across the team’s digital platforms and performance centers. CLG team jerseys for Fortnite and League of Legends will feature the Newegg logo. CLG’s LoL team will also wear customized limited-edition jerseys featuring the Newegg branding during a league match. 

In addition, Newegg will also allow CLG players to choose the equipment to train with from the company’s extensive consumer electronics portfolio. Newegg will also be the presenting partner for all broadcasts by the all-female Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team CLG Red. The company will also set up activation areas during CLG’s year-round community events to allow fans and test and evaluate Newegg products.
