Hangzhou-based professional esports organization LGD Gaming entered a partnership with the Chinese esports multi-channel network BGoose to establish a team to compete in Tencent’s King of Pro League.
According to a report by Esports Observer, LGD Gaming and BGoose invested $11.6M (¥80M RMB) to established an Honor of Kings team. The new team, LGDAE, will feature a goose on its logo. To secure the KPL franchise slot, the two companies acquired the team Hope of the King of Pro League.
As part of the partnership, BGoose will focus on brand marketing and content creation. LGD Gaming, on the other hand, will be in charge of LGDAE’s training and team performance.
